Hi Friends & Neighbors - We're approaching week 16 of our DAILY search for BOBO. 😿

  • NEW! Find Bobo and Project Bobo were featured in Baldwin Park Living August 2019 magazine. We hope our Baldwin Park neighbors give us a lead to bring Bobo home and to help us focus on ALL lost pets

  • Reminder that we increased the $2000 REWARD

  • We continue our on foot and online search

  • We continue to drive around and check our yards signs and the feral colonies

  • We reported Bobo's loss to the Orlando police - we want to make sure that it is very clear that we do not surrender him

Hi Friends & Neighbors - We're on week 13 of our DAILY search for BOBO. 😿

  • EXCITING update! Baldwin Park Living magazine is running a story about Find Bobo and Project Bobo. Check it out in the August publication.

  • Reminder that we increased the $2000 REWARD

  • Finding Bobo's Facebook Page got a new face lift with a new banner

  • Facebook Ad Manager consulting reached out and helped with a new video ad campaign to reach out to the Central Florida/Orlando community

  • We continue our on foot and online search

  • We continue to drive around and check our yards signs and the feral colonies

Search Update 06.16.19

Hi Friends & Neighbors - It's been 8 weeks and Bobo is STILL MISSING. 😿 We SEARCH for him DAILY! It's been a couple of weeks since the last post, in that time we have:

  • Hosted the Project Bobo booth at Baldwin Park First Friday Festival

  • Continued our foot search and drive to check signs and the feral colonies

  • Continued our online search

  • Reached out to an additional 200 animal care providers and services

  • Updated the flyer and distributed

  • Updated the yard signs and distributed

Our hearts ache. Not a day goes by where a tear isn't shed. We still look for Bobo and hope that one day he will return. We miss Bobo!

Search Update 06.02.19

Hi Friends & Neighbors - Bobo is STILL MISSING. 😿 We STILL SEARCH DAILY for Bobo: on foot and online. 🕵🏻‍♀️🐾 THANK YOU for all for the support and help to find him. 🙏 We printed 1000 more flyers to let people know that Bobo is still missing and we are still looking. We also are advertising the Baldwin Park First Friday Festival (#BPFFF) to help others find their pets or provide info about adoptions. The www.findbobo.com website has added a Project Bobo page for resources and pet listings.

 

Project Bobo Update 05.29.19

Hi Friends & Neighbors - The Baldwin Park First Friday Festival (#BPFFF) event manager approved my application to host a booth ("Project Bobo") on June 7. The submitted booth name is "Finding Bobo & Friends" 🐱🐶🐥🐰🐹. It may be too late to change to "Project Bobo," but either way it's intended to be bigger than Bobo.


The purpose of the booth is to bring awareness about ALL the lost pets (cats & dogs & birds & other), including Bobo, to Baldwin Park and our sister communities, and how to go about finding them. Information from our local shelters (Orange County Animal Services and Pet Alliance of Orlando) regarding lost pets, pet adoptions, and pet fostering will also be provided. OCAS has approved and I'm waiting on Pet Alliance.


The goal is to provide a community service for our furry loved ones and unite our communities through a heartfelt cause. Even if Bobo is found, I would still like to provide this service and host the booth for other lost pets and our pet shelters.


LOST PET PARENTS or FRIENDS OF, please contact me to learn how to be a Bobo Friend and get the word out about your missing furry family member at this booth. Or even help us man the booth. Prepare your flyers and freebies!

We received several leads and tons of prayers and well-wishes over the Memorial Day weekend - THANK YOU! We ruled out a few leads, and still checking on a few:

  3. ❌Brown tabby, Animal Control pick-up in Winter Park - not Bobo

  6. ❓CVS parking lot on New Broad - still checking

❗️ IF anyone has Bobo and is temporarily caring for him, we understand you may have gotten busy and lost track of time. We appreciate your time and temporary care, but please return Bobo.   • 😿 I’m worried that after 4 weeks outdoors, Bobo will be in terrible condition: dirty, skinny, filled with fleas. If found, remember that he was lost and has a home: Bobo is loved.

✔️YOUR STORIES & PRAYERS HELP: Monday was a rough day. But when you reached out and shared your own reunion stories, you lifted us and gave us hope that it's possible Bobo will be home one day. We appreciate your prayers. Bobo has been a part of our family from 8 weeks to 8 years old. It may seem dumb, but with no kids of my own, my two kitties are my babies who add life and unconditional love to my home. With one missing there is a hole in our hearts and home. Hi Friends and Neighbors - No luck on last night's walkabout 5/15. 😿 We are so discouraged.💔

  • 3 more yard signs were taken down and it made me so sad 😥😭

  • Bobo is not at the feral colony

  • Nothing in the traps

❓ How can there be not a single sighting? IF Bobo has been taken, how do we get the word out to that person that Bobo already has a home and is loved and missed very much? We received encouraging calls and emails and another lead yesterday, but it didn't pan out.

Hi Friends and Neighbors - NO walkabout nor sign checks last night 5/14. 🙀 We feel VERY GUILTY, but instead we spent many hours last evening on a "round 2" reach-out to vets and shelters.

  • We contacted 33 vets/shelters via phone, fax, email, and Facebook (see Daily Online Search)

  • We updated Bobo's flyer

  • We set the traps and caught nothing

Hi Friends and Neighbors - NO LUCK on our very early morning walkabout 5/12. 😿 We went out at 3 AM when it was super quite and had very smelly tuna with us to try to lure him. 🐟💨


  • 5/11: At dusk, we drove by all the Lost Cat "Bobo" signs and straightened out the bent ones. ALL signs still there! THANK YOU Samantha, Laura, and Fredrik for letting us put a sign in your yard. 🙏

  • 5/11: Between 6:30-8 PM, We waited to meet up with the feral cat feeding crew at Fairwinds Credit Union and hand them Lost Cat: "Bobo: flyers. Bobo's not hanging with the feral cats (yet?). For others who are searching for their lost cat, the feral cat feeders typically go there between 5-8 PM. They are very kind and said they will keep an eye out for Bobo. 🤞🐱


🔺 COMING WEEK: Our dear friend, Natasha, loaned us her pet trap today 5/12 and we will be using it tonight and ongoing. THANK YOU, Tasha! 🙏💕

Hi Neighbors - We are so sad to report that it's been 3 weeks since Bobo went missing on April 19, 2019. 😿 Our hearts are heavy and broken and lots of tears have been shed. We miss Bobo terribly and there is a hole in our home and hearts without him.

We are GRATEFUL and THANKFUL for the Baldwin, surrounding area, and services communities. 🙏❤️ The outpouring of support and help has been overwhelming. Many days this week we wanted to give up, but right at the moment it crossed our minds, you called or texted with a lead or shared a reunion story about your pet that had been lost for many days or weeks and came home. The Walkabout Update 05.10.19

Hi Neighbors - No luck on our late night walkabout last night 5/9. 😿

We also drove by all the Lost Cat "Bobo" signs to straighten them and found 1 more had been taken down: corner of Corrine & Bennett (Corrine side entering Baldwin). Bobo's not hanging with the feral cat colony either. 😿

🚛 The trash collectors now have a copy of Bobo's flyer; we hadn't thought of to give them one until this morning! The kind driver said she already saw our signs and keeps an eye out for Bobo. 💕

Hi Neighbors - No luck on our late night walkabout last night 5/8. 😿

We extended the search area and duration (2 hours) plus drove to the bank to check the feral cat colony. No luck at the bank either. 😿

We know that you may have fallen in love with him too, but his family misses him and there is a hole in our home and hearts without him. We've cared for Bobo since he was 8 weeks old. The Search Plan for Bobo Beginning 04.19.19

We were clueless about searching for an Escaped, Indoor-Only Cat. 😳

Bobo slipped out of the house on Friday, April 19, 2019, around 9:30 PM. It was an accident. The back door was not seated. Clever Bobo pushed it open and decided to go on journey. We had no idea he was outside as we headed to bed that fateful night. When Bobo didn't hop on the bed and poke me in the head with his paw to wake me up the next morning, we knew something was terribly wrong. That weekend, we searched every 2 hours like clockwork with a 30-minute break. We went up and down every street for blocks calling out his name for an hour, then resting a half hour in between. We immediately posted on NextDoor asking our neighbors to help us find him. Nothing panned out, so we did some research.

We the following plan into action:

  • Week 1: Search in 3 shifts around 7 AM, 10 PM & 2 AM

  • Week 2: Search in 2 shifts around 10 PM & 2 AM

  • Week 3 - 8: Search times between 10 PM - 3 AM

 

  • 3000 robo-calls

  • 1500 flyers/post cards

  • 30 veterinarians/clinics

  • 34 yard signs

  • 24 online lost & found websites

  • 14 Facebook lost & found pages

  • 7 microchip registries

  • 3 shelters/rescues (online & onsite)

  • 1 Bobo website: www.findbobo.com

 

  • Call, email, & fax vets and post on their Facebook pages

  • Alert services: USPS, UPS, FedEx, landscapers, services, garbage collectors, etc.

  • Place food outside & set humane traps

  • Install cameras to monitor traps & food

  • Keep garage door open to 4"

  • Place familiar smells outside: kitty litter & dirty laundry

  • Purchase a thermal camera (did not work well)

  • Shake treats & carry tuna on searches

  • Read lots of articles about finding lost indoor-only cats

 

  • DAILY: Implement all new ideas from neighbors and friends…

  • DAILY: Check yard signs and straighten them

  • DAILY: Check online lost & found sites

  • DAILY: Check and Post on Nextdoor and Facebook sites

  • DAILY: Check feral cat colony at Fairwinds Credit Union in Baldwin Park

  • DAILY: Set humane traps
